iOS App Source Checks Beyond the App Store
Most iOS users should install apps from the App Store, but there are cases where TestFlight, enterprise profiles, or regional availability pages appear during research. Those paths require extra source checks.
Prefer App Store when available
The App Store provides a clearer publisher identity, review history, and update path. If an app is available there, it should normally be the first option.
Understand TestFlight limits
TestFlight builds are for testing and may change quickly. Users should know who invited them and why the test build is needed.
Be careful with profiles
Configuration profiles and enterprise installs can change device behavior. Only use them when the publisher is trusted and the purpose is clear.
